Oh my goodness, I never realized that Mae Questel did the voice of Winky Dink! Thanks Steve, this was a nice bit of nostalgia for me. Although I'm not as old as you, I do vaguely remember this show, which served as the first lesson to me that I would never be anything near a professional artist (or, in truth, an artist at all)...
I'm sure that I must have read that at one time or other. Of course, as a kid I probably thought she sounded a litte like Olive Oil.
